The Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance has embraced Mandela Day, involving their dancers in making up Jars of Hope. These small jars, which are going to various charities in Dinokeng, go a long way to feed the hungry. Each jar makes up a wholesome soup as it comprises half cups of rice, soup mix, lentils, one unwrapped stock cube and a packet of soup powder.

Sue Theron, founder of the Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance, says, “Community service has always been a strong focus of mine and this is the second year we have undertaken this drive to help those in need. It’s important to engender in our dancers, who range in age from 4 years old to over 20 years old, a sense of community service. Over the years, we have danced for charity on numerous occasions, raising funds for those less fortunate.”
