 The Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance was established by Sue Theron over three decades ago.

Renowned for our dedication to Highland and Irish dance forms, we provide formal training to girls and boys from ages 4 years to adults.

Irish dancing has enjoyed a magical revival since the exciting international appearances of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Our dancers have delighted audiences around South Africa and beyond, with their precision and skill when competing and their creative flair and passion when performing at events.

Highland dancing is a traditional Scottish military-type of dancing dating back to the 1200’s. The “Sword Dance” was performed by the Scottish mercenaries just prior to battle, to the wailing of the bagpipes. The kilts representing the various clans, are still worn today by the dancers and pipers.
